The Flywire began in 2002 and organically
grew into an email party network
reaching 20,000 subscribers in two
years. The Baltimore City Paper named
TheFlywire.com, unveiled in May 2004,
as the "Best Nightlife Stirrer 2004." In
2005, The Flywire Magazine was created
and was also named "Best of Baltimore
2005" by The City Paper. In 2011, Fab
Empire, a national social website, named
The White Party "Baltimore's Party of the
Year 2010." The company and its founder,
Marcy Crump continues to receives
awards and recognition.19 years since its
inception, The Flywire has been solidly
established as Baltimore's African
American entertainment authority and
its largest digital platform.
