Harris AFAA Certified Fitness Trainer We all have a little voice in our heads that says something like, I can't lose this weight; I don't have time to exercise; or it's hard to eat healthy food all of the time. The minute we start verbalizing our negative thoughts, we automatically set ourselves up for failure. One way to overcome negative speech is to learn the power of positive affirmation and positive self-talk. We need to pay attention to our thought process and to the things we say to ourselves. Each time our inner voice starts saying words such as "can't," "try," or "but," we need to verbally come back with a positive affirmation. Positive affirmation is the foundation to achieving our physical, spiritual and mental goals! For example: If you want to lose 10 pounds in 30 days, don't say, "I want to lose 10 pounds in 30 days!" Just say, "I'm losing 10 pounds in 30 days!" Every word we speak, whether positive or negative, has a major impact on our lives. Even when we feel bad physically, we should try saying things like: "I feel young; healthy and strong; I have never felt better than I do right now"; or "my energy level is off the charts!" Society is searching for positive people with good attitudes toward life. It is so easy to find people with negative attitudes. So, for the next 21 days, start speaking positively to and about yourself, and watch how your life changes. Tell your body the way you want it to feel and watch your energy level increase and your overall health improve. I have encountered people who have actually healed themselves from sickness with the power of positive thinking and positive self-talk. Our mouths and our minds are two of our most powerful tools, but so many people fail to tap into these power sources. Whatever you conceive and believe, you can achieve! Just let your own mind and self dialogue work for you in a big way! The Flywire  33
