I have been in business for 10 yrs as a Bail Bonds woman, 8 years for my tag & tle & 6 years in the Auto, Homeowner's insurance industry. INSPIRATION What was your profession before entrepreneurship? Maryland State Licensed Addic ons Counselor (Sub- stance Abuse Preven on with Children) What inspired you to start your business? The desire to be a guru in the Real Estate industry... obviously God had other plans for me. What makes you excited to get out of bed? Building another business & achieving goals, helping others gain good mental health by being insured in any catastro- phe to minimize worries & stress of the future & the Melissa Garland unknown associated with not preparing. Also showing them you don't have to be rich to achieve these goals. What keeps you focused and mo vated? The fact of me leaving a legacy to my future grandkids & family to come of how I built this successful business that helps breaks the curse of genera onal poverty. What are you working on next? There's no telling which way God will lead me but very soon I definitely would like to have insurance seminars and/or life skills associated with insurance Happy Hours or something of that nature that helps me reach those folk to give them hope & direc on.
